Frequently asked questions about life coaching

What does a life coach do?

A life coach is a professional who supports people in developing their full potential and achieving positive changes in their lives. Through sound training and a wide range of skills, the coach is able to accompany clients in various areas of life and support them in achieving their goals.

A life coach helps their clients to gain clarity about their values, goals and dreams in order to achieve lasting satisfaction and fulfillment. With the help of various methods and techniques from psychology, systemic counseling and personal development, the coach supports their clients in removing obstacles and blockages in order to promote their personal growth.

The sessions focus on the client’s individual situation. Together with the coach, they can reflect on their thoughts and emotions in order to gain a new perspective and make clear decisions. The coach acts sensitively and empathetically to support clients on their journey and motivate them to consciously shape their lives.

Through targeted conversations and structured processes, a life coach helps their clients to achieve their personal and professional goals and live a life in line with their values. Sometimes it all gets too much and a little support is needed to help you think clearly again.
Investing in life coaching for women and men can therefore be a valuable way to make positive changes and lead a fulfilling life.

What does a life coaching lesson look like?

A life coaching session usually begins with you and Astrid getting to know each other. We identify problems and work out goals to be worked on during the session. It is important that you feel comfortable and are ready to work on yourself and your abilities.

We then divide the goals together into small steps that can be implemented in the coming weeks. To do this, we plan clear steps and reviews to ensure that you are on the right track. After about two weeks, the third session takes place, where we review what you have already achieved and plan the next steps.

After another three weeks, there will be a final session in which we will reflect together on the successes to date and discuss how to proceed. Following this, you can also attend our group meetings, which are cheaper and allow you to exchange ideas with like-minded people.

If you would like further individual sessions, this is of course also possible. In these sessions, we can work on deeper issues. Our life coaching for women and men aims to support you individually so that you can achieve your goals and lead a happy, fulfilled life.
With the professional guidance and support of a life coach, we can solve problems, make decisions and initiate personal growth processes.

For whom is life coaching particularly useful?

Life coaching is suitable for people who are looking for a way to steer their lives in a positive direction and grow personally. Life coaching is particularly useful for people who feel they are not making progress in their lives or are at an impasse. This can manifest itself in various areas of life, whether at work, in relationships or in their own health.

Life coaching is an important form of support for people who want to develop personally and work on themselves. They often face major challenges or problems that they cannot solve on their own. This is where a life coach can help to show new perspectives and develop solutions.

Single mothers in particular can receive new impetus to navigate through their everyday lives in a life coaching session for women. Astrid has had her own experiences as a single mother and knows the challenges and stresses first-hand. This personal experience enables her to put herself in your shoes as a life coach and respond to you with empathy. In our coaching sessions, fathers also learn how to reconcile the responsibilities of childcare and career – without stress and independently. With Astrid at your side as an expert, our life coaching for women and men is a real support when it comes to returning to your familiar job after parental leave.
Whether you are a manager or an employee – we will help you to master your return to work.

Astrid has also been down this path and, as a coach in our life coaching sessions, will be happy to explain to you how you can create a structured everyday life as a single parent with self-confidence and motivation.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching and therapy are two different approaches to personal development and problem solving that are often confused with each other. The main difference lies in their content, focus and approach.

Psychotherapy focuses on healing. It is intensive, often long-term work aimed at overcoming deep-seated psychological problems.
Therapists help to process traumatic experiences, change unhealthy behavior patterns and treat mental disorders. They are trained medical professionals who can diagnose and provide treatment for mental illness.

Coaching, on the other hand, is a future-oriented method that aims to improve your current and future life situation. A coach like Astrid helps to define goals and develop strategies to achieve them and improve skills. Unlike therapy, coaching is often more short-term and focuses on specific, practical outcomes. It is about unlocking a person’s full potential and helping them to achieve their personal and professional goals.

For example, Astrid offers life coaching for women and men who want to advance their careers, start their own businesses or increase their self-confidence. She helps them find solutions to their current challenges and achieve their goals. Her work is solution-oriented and direct, with a strong emphasis on action and results.

Both life coaching for women and men and therapy are definitely valuable tools for personal development, but they have different focuses and are used in different contexts.

How long does a coaching process take?

Are you wondering how long a coaching process takes? The answer is: it depends on your individual goals and needs.
Every person is unique and has different requirements, motivations and wishes. Therefore, a coaching process can last from a few weeks to several months.

Our coaching process is structured in such a way that we can respond flexibly to your progress:

  • Getting to know each other and setting goals: In the first session, we get to know each other, clarify your problems and work out clear goals together. We define what you want to achieve and how we can tackle your goals in concrete terms.
  • Break down goals into small steps: We break down your big goals into smaller, manageable chunks. For the coming weeks, we plan clear steps and regular reviews to make sure you’re on track.
  • First progress review: Two weeks after the first session, we meet again to review what you have achieved. We will plan the next steps and adjust your action plan if necessary.
  • Final session: Three weeks later, we conduct the final session to summarize your progress. This structure allows you to keep an eye on the financial aspects and have a clear conclusion to the coaching process.
  • Group meetings: After the individual coaching, you can take part in our group meetings, which are cheaper and take place once a month. Here you can continue to exchange ideas and benefit from the community. If required, you can book additional individual sessions.

Coaching is a dynamic process that adapts flexibly to your progress and requirements. Astrid will design the process according to your needs. She has a proven track record of achieving her own goals and takes a focused and direct approach. Her extensive list of clients attests to her success in achieving their goals through her coaching and training services.

Astrid has expertise in a variety of areas, from setting and achieving personal goals to career development, small business start-ups and specialized coaching for women. She has helped many people achieve their goals and realize their dreams.

The most important thing is that you get involved in the process and are prepared to work on yourself. Coaching gives you the tools and support you need to achieve your goals. But ultimately, it’s up to you to use these tools and take the necessary steps.

Remember that it’s not about how fast you get to your destination, but that you reach your destination. Everyone has their own pace, and that’s perfectly fine. It’s better to take your time and achieve lasting change than to make quick progress and then fall back into old patterns.

So, whether you only need a few weeks or several months is perfectly fine. The most important thing is that you achieve your goal and that the coaching helps you to realize your full potential.
